Combine two of your favourite things and get a brick portrait made of your family, friends, pets or...just about anything you can think of!
They make perfect gifts to mark a special occasion or just as a distinctive decoration for your home. Not only is it a unique gift, you can also build it together, creating a lasting memory for everyone involved.
After you pick a size and frame colour, you'll need to upload a photo for us to turn into a mosaic.* We'll turn that into a digital image of a brick mosaic to give you an understanding of what the finished product will look like. Then we'll make a frame and post your mosaic parts ready for you to build and hang wherever you like. They're a great talking piece around the home, in children's bedrooms or in the office.
Mosaics are provided with a brick frame mounted on wood and with all the parts needed to build your brick creation. All mosaics are created in the full range of brick colours available and exclusively use 1x1 bricks.
A 48x48 mosaic is ideal to feature one person/animal - please consider a larger size when there are multiple subjects in the mosaic. Photos should have a neutral background with a good contrast to the person/animal in the photo.
* Sometimes we require alternative images to ensure that we are able to create a great product for you. We will request this via email.
* The frames are available in 3 standard sizes but other sizes are available upon request.
† Some larger mosaics may require a slightly longer time. We will notify you immediately if this is the case.
Notes - please read before ordering
Please note that metric sizes are approximate, based on the closest brick increment. The brick frame will also add approximately 3cm to each dimension.
We recommend bigger sizes for including more than one subject in the mosaic - 48x48 stud is ideal for one person or animal but would lack detail for any bigger photos. For example, the cat and dog mosaics pictured are the level of detail at 48x48 studs.
Bright Bricks are unable to produce mosaics featuring any intellectual property without the IP holder's permission. For example, we are unable to produce film characters or logos without permission.
A 48x48 stud mosaic would take one person approximately 8 hours to build depending on your experience with brick building.
